Classic Treatment

Transform your frizzy, difficult, kinky, curly hair into soft, manageable, beautiful locks. Reduce your drying and styling time by client reported 33-50%. Enjoy no wait time to wash, color, workout or pull back with clips or a ponytail! You'll leave the salon looking fantastic with completely wearable hair.

Classic Treatment Instructions
  1. Prep
    • Wash hair twice with Cezanne Clarifying Shampoo.
    • Do not over stimulate the scalp or use conditioner
  2. Dry
    • Set blow dryer to medium heat with high air flow and blow dry with a vent brush or fingers until 100% dry.
  3. Application
    • Shake product and place 1-2 ounces (30-60ml) into a non-metallic bowl. Add more treatment into the bowl as needed.
    • Section the hair into 4 quadrants.
    • Starting at the nape, use the Cezanne Application Brush to gently dab treatment 1/4” (6.35mm) from the scalp, midshaft, and the ends in medium 1/2” (12.7mm) sections.
    • Massage treatment into hair with fingers.
    • Distribute the product with a fine-tooth comb before adding it to sections already completed below.
    • You will know you are using enough treatment if you have a small bead treatment left on your comb, if you have more than a small bead, you have used too much. This extra treatment can be used on the next section.
    • Work your way up the head, repeating the application until the entire head is completely saturated with treatment.
    • To ensure complete coverage, comb the entire head again and reapply treatment to hairlines and porous ends.
  4. Process
    • Let the treatment at room temperature for 30 minutes.
    • No cap is needed.
  5. Rinse
    • Rinse with lukewarm water and low pressure. Do not use shampoo or conditioner. Very long, thick or coarse/resistant hair may need a longer rinse.
    • Leave a small amount of residue in the hair—a little bit more than the “slip” you’d feel during a deep conditioning treatment.
    • Place the nozzle directly onto the scalp when rinsing, moving it around the head and focusing on the nape area.
    • If the ends are porous, hold them out of the water until you’re almost finished rinsing.
  6. Blowout
    • Do a meticulous blowout with the blow-dryer set on medium heat with high airflow (higher heat may be needed for coarse/resistant hair). If the hair is really wet, use a vent brush or your fingers to remove extra water.
    • The hair should feel like it has texture spray in it. If the hair seems gummy or heavy, take the client back to the bowl and rinse again.
    • Use a round brush or paddle brush to get hair as smooth as possible making sure to get the hair 100% dry.
    • The better the blow-dry, the less flat ironing you’ll need to do to get hair silky.
  7. Smoothing
    • Flat iron meticulously using an average heat setting of 380-410 F (193-210 C). For a high-lift blonde or someone with very damaged hair, start at the lowest heat setting and work your way up to a safe heat.
    • Starting in the nap ready, take small 1/2" sections, concentrate at the roots and flat iron until hair is silky, which indicates that the hair is sealed with treatment. On average, each section requires 3 passes with a flat iron to seal the hair (coarse/resistant hair may need more passes with a flat iron).
    • To complete the service, give your client a quick trim or haircut to refresh the ends!
  8. After Care
    • Your client can wash their hair, swim, go to the gym, or wear clips and ponytails immediately.
    • Send your client home with the Cezanne Perfect Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner for proper maintenance.
    • You should recommend Cezanne Leave In Perfector Spray for clients who blow-dry or flat iron their hair.

Follow these tips for the best results!
1. DO THE PROPER CONSULTATION.

Make decisions about hair type, color, texture, beforehand to ensure the best results with Cezanne

2. LIMIT AMOUNT OF TREATMENT PER SECTION.

When applying the treatment, avoid painting onto the entire section of har. Use a three-dab system: One dab 1/4" away from the scalp, another dab or two down the hair shaft and a final dab at the ends.

3. MASSAGE TREATMENT INTO HAIR.

Make sure to thoroughly massage the treatment into the hair (including hair line and porous ends) to proper emulsify the product.

4. RINSE ACCORDING TO THE DIRECTIONS.

Leave a small amount of residue in the hair, a little more than what you would feel with a deep conditioning treatment. If the hair feels gummy, heavy or hard to blow-dry, rinse some more!

5. GIVE CLIENT A PICTURE-PERFECT BLOWOUT.

After you've rinsed the Cezanne treatment, do a meticulous blow-dry on medium heat with high airflow.

6. FLAT IRON METICULOUSLY

Using an average flat iron heat setting of 380-410 F (193-210 C), take small sections and meticulously flat iron until the hair is silky, shiny and sealed. For a high-lift blonde or someone with very damaged hair, start at the lowest heat setting and work your way up to a safe heat.  On average, each section requires 3 to 5 passes with a flat iron to seal the hair.
